Open-Access Policy
Empowering Global Knowledge—IJLSAR’s Commitment to Open Access
The International Journal of Life Science and Agriculture Research (IJLSAR) is dedicated to the principle that knowledge should be freely and universally accessible, empowering scientific progress and driving innovation across the globe. Our open-access policy is the cornerstone of our mission and a defining feature—ensuring that all published research is immediately, freely, and permanently available to anyone, anywhere.
Key Elements of Our Open-Access Policy
1. Immediate and Unrestricted Access
Every article published in IJLSAR is freely accessible online the moment it is released—no subscriptions, paywalls, or embargoes.
Readers, educators, practitioners, and the public can download, read, and share full texts without limitations or registration.
2. Global Reach and Inclusivity
Open access removes financial and geographic barriers, enabling participation from authors, readers, and institutions worldwide, regardless of income level or location.
All content is accessible to low- and middle-income countries, promoting global equity in research consumption and dissemination.
3. Author Rights and Copyright
Authors retain copyright of their work.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), allowing for sharing and adaptation for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution.
4. No Reader Fees—Affordable Publication
No fees for readers: Access is always free.
Transparent Article Processing Charge (APC): A modest and one-time APC of $50 USD is charged only upon manuscript acceptance. This covers all editorial, peer review, publishing, and hosting costs, ensuring sustainability without financial burden to readers.
5. Permanent Accessibility and Indexing
All articles are permanently available and cannot be removed or restricted post-publication.
Each article is assigned a DOI via CrossRef for persistent citation and is indexed in leading databases (e.g., Google Scholar, SJIF), maximizing scholarly visibility and impact.
6. Archiving and Digital Preservation
IJLSAR ensures long-term digital preservation of all articles through secure archiving and robust metadata integration, guaranteeing enduring availability for future generations.
What Open Access Means for Authors and Readers
Authors benefit from worldwide readership, higher visibility, and citation potential, as their research becomes immediately discoverable and reusable by the global community.
Readers enjoy instant, barrier-free access to authoritative research without subscriptions or institutional access.
Supporting Ethical and Responsible Open Science
IJLSAR’s open-access policy aligns with the best practices as recommended by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), COPE, ICMJE, and global research funders.
We encourage authors to maximize transparency by sharing data, protocols, and code in open repositories whenever possible.
